The idea in practice.
We’re designing two clear journeys: payments to other people and businesses, and transfers between your own business accounts.
Review both sides
Choose where the money comes from, where it goes and the amount. Check the instruction before it moves to the next step.
Follow the outcome
Approval and completion are different. If a response is interrupted, the design keeps the original instruction available to check. Payment services, limits and approval requirements are still being developed.
Between your own accounts.
Choose two different accounts belonging to the same fictional business. The review shows where the money comes from, where it goes, the currency and the amount. Available funds are checked before the instruction can progress.
On confirmed completion, the source balance falls and the destination balance rises by the same amount. Both account histories link back to the instruction. This is separate from moving money between different businesses.
To a person or another business.
An external payment needs a recipient as well as a source account. The proposed journey puts the payee, purpose and any changed destination information into the review. Required checks must be complete before the instruction can proceed.
The proposed journey includes a separate approver for a controlled decision. The production approval policy and service limits remain to be agreed.
A result you can follow.
Prepared, approved, pending and complete describe different points in the journey. Approval alone does not establish that money has moved. A rejected instruction should retain its history, and a response that was interrupted should keep the original request available to check.
Payment rails, availability, timing and fees depend on the final service. Transfers and payments are not available today.
