We’re designing both virtual and physical cards for business spending, with a named cardholder, a funding account and clear spending limits.

Virtual cards

The proposed journey lets you organise online spending, review controls and see which account funds the card.

Physical cards

The design covers ordering, delivery status, activation and replacement. Pricing and delivery times have not been agreed.

Controls and private details

Freezing, spending controls and sensitive details need confirmed outcomes and the appropriate checks. Cards, secure reveal and digital wallets depend on the approved programme and are not live services here.

Ask about virtual and physical cards

Choose the card and the person.

A virtual card can organise online business spending; a physical card adds a card for the working day. The proposed request identifies the cardholder, the funding account and a recognisable purpose before it is reviewed.

A separate card name can help distinguish subscriptions, travel or a particular team’s spending. It does not create a separate account balance.

Controls beside the card.

The design brings monthly and per-payment limits together with the relevant spending controls. Freezing and unfreezing require a confirmed result. If the service response is interrupted, the request stays visible for checking.

For a physical card, the journey also includes delivery status and activation. A lost or stolen card leads to a clear replacement process that retains the original card’s history.

Private details deserve a separate step.

Full card details, PIN access and digital wallets require appropriate checks and a confirmed provider capability. Those capabilities remain subject to the final product and provider arrangements.

Pricing, delivery commitments, supported wallets, cash access and final card terms remain unconfirmed. Neither card type is available today.
